Disclaimer

Heard is a wellbeing and journaling app for people during and after abuse. It offers reflective tools, gentle prompts, and AI-assisted reflections (“Raya”). Heard does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, or crisis services. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, treatment, legal opinion, or a substitute for professional care or emergency help.

1. Not a crisis service
  • If you are in danger or believe someone is at risk, call your local emergency number immediately (e.g., 000/112 in AU, 911 in US/CA, 999 in UK/IE, 112 in EU) or contact a local crisis line.
  • The app may include resource links, but availability varies by location and may change without notice.
2. No professional advice
  • Content (including AI reflections, prompts, mantras, and educational text) is general information meant to support self-reflection.
  • Do not ignore or delay seeking professional help because of something you read in Heard.
  • For legal concerns (e.g., protection orders, custody, evidence), consult a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.
  • For health or mental-health concerns, consult a licensed clinician.
3. AI limitations
  • “Raya” generates reflective, supportive language based on your inputs. Outputs may be incomplete or occasionally inaccurate.
  • Raya is designed not to tell you what to do and not to render advice. Use your own judgment and seek professional guidance as needed.
  • Avoid entering personal identifiers you do not wish to share.
4. Privacy & data
  • Heard uses privacy-by-design principles and collects only what is necessary to provide the service (e.g., account data, subscription status, app diagnostics).
  • Your content is handled per our Privacy Policy (see in-app or at our website).
  • Depending on where you live, your data may be processed in, or transferred to, other countries with appropriate safeguards.
  • You can request deletion of your account and data as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Age & eligibility
  • Heard is intended for users 13+ (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). If you are under the applicable age, use Heard only with a parent/guardian’s consent where required by law.
6. User responsibility
  • You are responsible for how you use the app, the information you enter, and any actions you take based on your reflections.
  • Use Heard in a safe environment (e.g., enable device passcode/biometric lock, consider disguising notifications, and use Quick Exit where available).
7. Third-party services & links
  • Heard may link to third-party sites, resources, or app stores. We are not responsible for their content, practices, or availability. Review their policies separately.
8. Service availability & changes
  • Features (including Weekly Reflections, trials, pricing, and regional resources) may vary by country and may be updated or discontinued at any time.
9. No warranties; limitation of liability
  • Heard is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heard Collective Pty Ltd and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the app.
